Olivier Megaton’s comic book film adaptation “The Last Days of American Crime” launched on Netflix this past Friday and has earned a rare honor – it scored a jaw-dropping 0% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
With 21 reviews and counting, the film’s 0% score is also backed by a truly dreadful 2.67/10 average rating. Audiences aren’t much impressed either with just a 23% approval, but the film was one of Netflix’s top trending titles over the weekend.
This also marks the first feature to accomplish a 0% score since the John Travolta-led “Gotti” and the Amber Heard-led “London Fields”. Other famous duds to have scored the mark include “Jaws: The Revenge,” “Highlander 2: The Quickening,” “Max Steel” and the Adam Sandler-led “The Ridiculous 6”.
An adaptation of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini’s comic, the story is set in the hours before the U.S. government broadcasts a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Edgar Ramirez plays a career criminal who aims to pull off the heist of the century.
