John Larroquette will reprise his regular role of prosecutor Dan Fielding in the revival of the 1980s legal comedy series “Night Court” for NBC.
In addition, he’ll be joined by “The Big Bang Theory” alum Melissa Rauch who will play a new character – an unapologetic optimist judge named Abby Stone, daughter of original Night Court Judge Harold ‘Harry’ T. Stone (Harry Anderson).
Rauch was attached only as an executive producer at first but reportedly joined the show in an acting capacity after reading the script.
Larroquette is certainly familiar with playing lawyers with a series regular role on “Boston Legal” and a recent recurring role in “The Good Fight”.
