“Jackie” and “Spencer” director Pablo Larrain is teaming with Netflix on the historical black comedy “El Conde”.
The story revolves around the idea that former far right Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet was a 250-year-old vampire. The man decides to die once and for all due to ailments brought about by his dishonor and family conflicts.
Larrain will share screenwriting credits with his “Neruda” co-writer and famed playwright Guillermo Calderon. Juan de Dios Larrain will produce with a 2023 release being targeted.
Jaime Vadell, Gloria Munchmeyer, Alfredo Castro and Paula Luschinger will co-star.
