“L.A.’s Finest,” “Last Man Standing” Cancelled

Spectrum has cancelled “L.A.’s Finest,” the “Bad Boys” spin-off and its first original series, after two seasons. The Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba-led series has been axed five weeks after the second season debuted in a binge release.

The series began life as an NBC pilot, but didn’t get picked up. Spectrum Originals stepped in and ordered it to series which aired May 2019. Spectrum renewed it for a second season the following month, but its planned return this June was delayed until last month.

That’s not the only cancellation today as FOX has revealed that the upcoming ninth season of the Tim Allen multi-camera comedy “Last Man Standing” will be its last. The series will air its final episodes from this January.

The show originally ran for six seasons on ABC before being canceled in 2017 when FOX picked it up for a seventh season which began in 2019. When it finishes, the show will have filmed a fairly astonishing 194 episodes in total and has remained popular throughout its run – averaging nine million viewers per episode in multi-platform viewing.
