Electric Brain Entertainment has landed the rights for a TV series adaptation of the popular Korean webtoon series “Deep”.

The sci-fi thriller series follows the families of humans who went missing and suddenly begin to reappear from the ocean as living corpses – unaged and unchanged in the years or decades since their disappearances.

The plan is for both a Korean and an English-language drama series with both shows to have overlapping plotlines and cast in the hopes of attracting an audience that “will span from Los Angeles to Sydney to Seoul, and every place between.”

“Thor” and “X-Men: First Class” writer Zack Stentz and producer Geoffrey Clark will spearhead the spinoffs and both executive produce alongside Ko Dae-Jung and Hugh Cha.
