Keira Knightley will star in and executive produce a TV series adaptation of Suzanne Rindell’s novel “The Other Typist” for Hulu, her first major TV commitment.
Set in New York City at the height of the Prohibition era, the psycho-sexual suspense thriller follows a prim, unworldly police department typist who gets drawn into the shady world of her glamorous new co-worker Odalie (Knightley).
When the ultimate crime is committed, it’s uncertain which of the two women was the more treacherous.
The project will be written and executive produced by Ilene Chaiken (“The L Word,” “Empire”) and produced by Searchlight Television and 20th Century Fox Television.
