“Heartstopper” star Kit Connor is reportedly being eyed for the lead role in Alex Garland’s live-action film adaptation of the hit video game “Elden Ring” at A24 and Bandai Namco.
The buff British actor recently worked with Garland on “Warfare” and while he is said to be under serious consideration, no formal offer has been made as yet.
The news follows on from Garland himself being confirmed to write and direct the project last week.
The game has reportedly shipped over 30 million copies since its launch back in 2022 where it took Game of the Year at the Game Awards.
Created in collaboration with “Game of Thrones” author George R. R. Martin, it unfolds in a world called The Lands Between.
Players take on the role of one of the Tarnished, individuals whose ancestors were exiled years ago. When the Elden Ring is shattered, they get the chance to return and conquer the land they were once banished from.
The film will be produced by Peter Rice alongside Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Martin and Vince Gerardis. A new “Elden Ring” game, the multiplayer title “Nightreign,” has just been released today to so-so reviews.
