Kristen Bell To Voice Amy In “Sonic 4”

Netflix

“Frozen,” “Veronica Mars” and “Nobody Wants This” actress Kristen Bell has been set as the voice of Amy Rose in the upcoming fourth “Sonic the Hedgehog” film at Paramount Pictures.

Bell has closed a deal to voice the pink hedgehog character capable of time travel in the games. Plot specifics for the new film are under wraps.

Bell marks the latest voice added to the franchise following Ben Schwartz as Sonic in the first film, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles in the second, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow in the third.

The human cast of these films including Jim Carrey as the villainous Dr. Robotnik, Lee Majdoub as his devout assistant Agent Stone, and James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Sonic’s adopted family, are expected to return to reprise their parts.

Jeff Fowler once again directs while Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara return as producers. The three movies have surpassed $1 billion at the global box office, with critical acclaim also increasing with each entry.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 4” is set for a March 19th 2027 release.
