King Of The Hill Revival Talks Heat Up

Writer Brent Forrester has revealed that “hot negotiations” are underway for a revival of long-running FOX animated series “King of the Hill” from co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels.

Participating in a Reddit AMA yesterday, Forrester spoke about his work on shows ranging from “The Office” to “The Simpsons” and of course “King of the Hill”. Asked about the possibility of a ‘King’ revival, he said:

“I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but… HELL YES. They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I’ve said too much :)”

The series, about a middle-class family living in Texas, ran for thirteen seasons and is currently on Hulu. Should it go forward it would join numerous comedy revivals in recent years including “Reno 911,” “Roseanne” and “Animaniacs” along with the recently announced animated revival of Chris Rock’s autobiographical family sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris”.
