Hulu has premiered the full official trailer for its “King of the Hill” revival which is set to premiere on August 4th.
20th Television Animation and Bandera Entertainment produce the new take with Mike Judge and Greg Daniels set to return and executive produce alongside showrunner Saladin Patterson.
Original voice cast members Judge, Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Toby Huss, the late Johnny Hardwick and Lauren Tom return for what constitutes the fourteenth season of the program.
Comedian and Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng has joined the cast as Kahn Souphanousinphone – Hank’s Laotian neighbor. He replaces Huss who voiced the character in the original.
Huss himself takes over the Dale role at a point during the season with Hardwick having recorded some lines before his passing.
The new season sees Hank and Peggy returning to their Arlen, Texas, home after Hank retires from the propane business – to the delight of neighbors Boomhauer, Bill Dauterive and Dale Gribble – while a now-adult Bobby (Pamela Adlon) is working as a chef and dabbling in brewing beer.
