Kim Kardashian is joining the Ryan Murphy-verse as the reality star, entrepreneur, and pop culture icon has signed on to star in the twelfth season of FX’s “American Horror Story”.
Kardashian is starring in a role specifically written with her in mind and joins Murphy regular Emma Roberts in the outing. In a first for the series, the new season is being entirely written and show run by a single writer – Halley Feiffer.
The new run is said to be titled ‘Delicate’ and is an adaptation of Danielle Valentine’s upcoming thriller novel “Delicate Condition” about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.
The “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” and “Pose” executive producer is said to have been impressed with Kardashian’s SNL hosting in 2021. Her hiring marks her most high-profile acting effort to date.
It also sees Kardashian continuing her relationship with Disney as her family-launched reality show “The Kardashians” is at Hulu – the streaming home of FX’s programming slate.
The new season is executive produced by Feiffer, Murphy, co-creator Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall and Scott Robertson. Filming will begin in New York City later in April.
The overall “American Horror Story” series has received over 100 Emmy nominations so far.
