Nicole Kidman continues her TV push with word today that her Blossom Films label has optioned Janice Y.K Lee’s bestselling novel “The Expatriates” with plans to adapt it as a television series.
The story explores the complicated relationships of three American women as they navigate life inside a tight-knit expat community in Hong Kong.
Alice Bell (“Suburban Mayhem”) is attached to pen the adaptation, with a potential role for Kidman to star. Kidman, Theresa Park and Per Saari will executive produce while Lee would consult.
