Oscar winners Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow and Nathan Lane are set to join the animated musical “Spellbound” at Skydance Animation and Apple Original Films.
Kidman and Bardem will voice Ellsmere and Solon, Queen and King of Lumbria. They’re the parents of the lead character Princess Ellian (Rachel Zegler) who sets out on a daring quest to save her family and kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms them into monsters and threatens to cover Lumbria in darkness.
Lithgow will lend his voice to play Minister Bolinar, Lane will play the Oracles of the Sun and Moon, while Jenifer Lewis will voice Minister Nazara Prone. Jordan Fisher and Andre De Shields also star.
The film is to be directed by Vicky Jenson and written by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin and Linda Woolverton. Oscar-winner Alan Menken is doing the score while John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and David Lipman will produce.
