Musician and actor Kid Cudi (aka. Scott Mescudi) will make his feature directorial debut on the Netflix feature “Teddy” which he has penned and in which he’ll star.
“The Harder They Fall” filmmaker Jeymes Samuel, Shawn ‘Jay Z”’ Carter, James Lassiter, Mad Solar and Bron will produce.
Specifics of the story are under wraps, buy Cudi says it’s “as if I took the song ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ and wrote a movie about it” and will incorporate his own personal struggles into the script.
Mescudi recently appeared onscreen in Netflix’s best picture contender “Don’t Look Up” from Adam McKay, and can currently be seen in Ti West’s “X”.
