Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a spin-off of its Emmy-winning “WandaVision” series, one that puts the focus squarely on Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness character.
“WandaVision” creator Jac Schaeffer will serve as writer and executive producer on the Harkness spinoff as part of her joint deal with Marvel and 20th Television. Specifics of the plot are under wraps, though it is said to be a dark comedy. Variety broke that story.
In addition, Deadline adds that Hahn has reportedly closed a larger deal with the studio that will see her go beyond merely reprising her scene-stealing witch role for the spin-off series on the Disney+ service. The deal also reportedly allows her character to pop up across the MCU both in streaming series and in movies.
Hahn’s character and performance scored her an Emmy nomination and was one of the most universally well-received elements of “WandaVision” – especially with that infamous earworm of a song.
