Kate Winslet is set to star in and executive produce HBO’s limited series “Trust” based on Hernan Diaz’s best-selling novel.
The story will follow a wealthy financier who reads a novel based on his life and is upset with how he and his wife are portrayed.
He hires a secretary to ghostwrite a memoir in hopes of setting the record straight. She, however, becomes aware that he’s trying to rewrite history, and his wife’s place in it.
Winslet and Diaz will serve as executive producers. This will mark the third collaboration between Winslet and HBO following 2011’s “Mildred Pierce” and last year’s breakout hit “Mare of Easttown”.
The Oscar winner will soon be seen on screens in James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” due for release in December.
