Since the first “Jurassic World” hit, those involved have spoken about the films as a trilogy and so next year’s “Jurassic World: Dominion” has long been seen as not just the ‘World’ trilogy’s closing effort but also that of the “Jurassic Park” franchise as a whole.
That no longer appears to be the case according to producer Frank Marshall whilst speaking with Collider recently. Out promoting his Epix music documentary “Laurel Canyon,” Marshall was directly asked if ‘Dominion’ was seen as the conclusion of the franchise.
No it would seem. He called the new film “the start of a new era” and says “The dinosaurs are now on the mainland amongst us, and they will be for quite some time, I hope” suggesting at least one more ‘Jurassic’ film will come after ‘Dominion’.
Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda are all starring in the film which opens June 11th 2021.
