Judy Greer Joins Showtime’s “First Lady”

Judy Greer (“Archer”) has replaced Pamela Adlon (“Better Things”) in Showtime’s anthology series “The First Lady” which focuses on the personal and political lives of the country’s first wives.

The first season is focused on Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford (Pfeiffer) and Michelle Obama (Viola Davis). Adlon, who was to play Betty Ford’s trusted confidante and social secretary Nancy Howe, had to exit due to a scheduling conflict.

Greer now takes on that guest star role in four episodes of the series. She joins a cast that also includes Aaron Eckhart as President Gerald Ford, Jayme Lawson as young Michelle Obama, Kristine Forseth as young Betty Ford and Rhys Wakefield as Vice President Dick Cheney.

Aaron Cooley created the series and will write and executive produce alongside Davis, Julius Tennon, Andrew Wang, Susanne Bier and Cathy Schulman.
