Josh Brolin Set For Action Feature “Mister”

Paramount Pictures

Hot off his “Weapons” turn, Oscar nominee Josh Brolin is set to headline the action-comedy “Mister” from Bright White Light and Thunder Road.

The story follows a man (Brolin) who wakes up in a strange house covered in blood and realises his true identity while fighting off contract killers from his past — including everyone from his exes to his best friend.

To get out, he teams up with his estranged daughter, who also has ended up in the family business, but they will need to repair their relationship in order to survive.

Noted second unit and action director Wade Eastwood (“Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” “Jumanji: The Next Level”) makes his directorial debut on the film.

Filming will begin in early 2026 in Spain, with additional casting underway. Nicki Cortese and Nick Inglis penned the script and will produce alongside Wayne Marc Godfrey, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee.

Brolin will be seen twice this Fall – in both Edgar Wright’s “The Running Man” and Rian Johnson’s “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”. He most recently filmed Ridley Scott’s “The Dog Stars”.
