Universal Pictures has reportedly entered into a five-year exclusive production partnership with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.
Under the deal, Universal is developing Peele’s next two films which he will direct, write, and produce. Peele and Monkeypaw will also produce original films under their banner.
Monkeypaw and Universal previously teamed on Peele’s “Get Out” and “Us,” both of which became commercial successes and critical hits. Monkeypaw also produced Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman”.
Monkeypaw is currently in production on the new “Candyman” film written by Peele and Rosenfeld and directed by Nia DaCosta. Universal Pictures will release that on June 12th 2020.
