Jonny Campbell To Helm “Cold Storage”

Jonny Campbell, who directed BBC One & Netflix’s recent three-part “Dracula” mini-series, has been set to helm the film adaptation of the sci-fi novel “Cold Storage” for Paramount Pictures.

Written by “Jurassic Park” and “Mission: Impossible” screenwriter David Koepp, who is adapting his own novel, the story follows Pentagon bioterror operative Roberto Diaz as he is sent to investigate a suspected biochemical attack.

Once Diaz arrives, he finds something far worse: a highly-mutative organism capable of extinction-level destruction. After containing it and burying it in cold storage deep beneath a rarely-used military repository for decades, the specimen has escaped and is on a lethal feeding frenzy that only Diaz knows how to stop.

Koepp and Gavin Polone will produce. Campbell has built up a major career in television helming and has directed episodes of “Doctor Who,” “Ashes to Ashes,” “Shameless,” “Spooks,” “In the Flesh” and “Informer”.
