More familiar faces are returning for the final film in the current iteration of the “Jumanji” franchise.
As previously reported, the core quartet of Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan will all be back reprising their roles from 2017’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and 2019’s “Jumanji: The Next Level”.
Now, several other returnees are also coming back, including Nick Jonas as pilot Jefferson ‘Seaplane’ McDonough, Rhys Darby as NPC Nigel Billingsley, Danny DeVito as Spencer’s grandfather Eddie Gilpin, Marin Hinkle as Spencer’s mother, Lamorne Morris as a heater repairman and Bebe Neuwirth as Nora Shepherd.
Dan Hildebrand (“Game of Thrones”) and Jack Jewkes (“Criminal Minds”) have also joined the production as new cast members.
Shooting began this week in Los Angeles with director Jake Kasdan helming the project from a script by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Kasdan are producing the new installment, which has a release date of December 11th 2026.
