Jonah Hill Swears The Most On Film

A new study by BuzzBingo.com has revealed that Jonah Hill swears the most of any film actor. The site analyzed more than 3,500 film scripts for completed films to find which has the most swear words and which actors curse the most.

According to the study, Hill has spewed 376 swear words throughout his career, just ahead of his former co-star Leonardo DiCaprio with 361 curses. Samuel L. Jackson, Adam Sandler, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Billy Bob Thornton, Seth Rogen, Bradley Cooper and Danny McBride also scored very high.

Hill responded to the study on Instagram saying: “So many people to thank. Martin Scorsese thanks for pushing me over the edge. And of course the great Samuel L. Jackson. Humbled . (Also “new report”? Lol what team of scientists cracked this one?). Lots of love.”

In terms of the film’s analysed, “The Wolf of Wall Street” topped it with 715 expletives followed by “Uncut Gems” with 646 and “Casino” with 606. However in ‘per capita’ terms, Gary Oldman’s “Nil by Mouth” came on top with 41.3 curse words per 1,000 words spoken.

The study also found swearing in movies peaked around 1993-1994 with 3 swear words per 1,000 words uttered. The number dropped to 2.5 ten years later and has remained there ever since.
