HBO has reportedly entered into early development on the first sequel to its blockbuster fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones”.
Said series will center on fan-favorite character Jon Snow with actor Kit Harington attached to reprise the role should a series move forward.
Harington landed two Emmy nominations for his portrayal of the famed character who discovered his true name was Aegon Targaryen, a potential heir to the Iron Throne.
In the series finale, he was exiled from Westeros and journeyed North of the Wall with the Wildlings to leave his old life behind. The new series could potentially open the door for other surviving characters from the Thrones universe to reappear.
Harington appeared in last year’s Marvel Studios film “Eternals” and has been involved in multiple stage productions.
A ‘Thrones’ prequel series titled “House of the Dragon” has already been shot and is set to debut on August 21st.
