The California Film Commission announced its latest round of credit allocations on Monday morning, awarding $93.7 million to eighteen film projects.

The most high-profile is “Joker: Folie รก Deux,” Todd Phillips’ upcoming sequel to his acclaimed Joaquin Phoenix-led smash hit, which is ditching the New York location shoot of the first movie for Los Angeles thanks to $12.6 million in tax credits.

Netflix landed two big chunks of the commission, including the single biggest credit of $20.5 million for an untitled project that is expected to deliver $107.7 million in qualified spending in the state.

Its other one was Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon: Part 2,” the second half of his two-part space epic, which scored $16.6 million. The first half landed $18.5 million in tax credits last year, with each film expected to deliver $83 million in qualified spending in the state.

MGM’s latest “The Thomas Crown Affair” remake for Amazon also scored the last massive chunk of change with $19.6 million in tax credits, with that film shooting a bunch in San Francisco. Fourteen indie films also scored small tax credits, including Sofia Coppola’s next project.
