Warner Bros. Pictures has released assorted new material from Todd Philip’s “Joker: Folie à Deux,” the material coming ahead of tomorrow’s world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
The new material includes a new TV spot which offers a brief look at “Industry” alum Harry Lawtey who voices District Attorney Harvey Dent (the man who becomes Two-Face) and can be heard as intending to prosecute Arthur for his crimes.
A first look clip is also out with Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga’s Harleen ‘Lee’ Quinzel sharing a moment of emotional bonding within Arkham Asylum.
Then there’s a featurette which goes into the film’s use of music and how the songs were recorded live and deliberately made to not sound like the most polished product. Finally there’s a new one-sheet for the film.
The film also stars Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, Jacob Lofland, Leigh Gill, Ken Leung, and Zazie Beetz. Phillips returns to direct and co-write the script.
The first film became the first R-rated film to gross $1 billion dollars at the box office, making a sequel inevitable. “Joker: Folie a Deux” begins its worldwide rollout October 2nd and hits the United States October 4th.
