“John Wick 4” Runtime On Par With “Interstellar”

Lionsgate

In November last year we were advised “John Wick: Chapter 4” was set to be the franchise’s longest entry to date, though a runtime hadn’t yet been locked.

The three films have slowly grown with each entry – rising from the 101 minutes of the first film to 131 minutes for the third. Now the fourth is climbing again… considerably. Collider reports that “John Wick: Chapter 4” is set clock in at a runtime of around 169 minutes with credits.

That’s more than half an hour longer than the previous film and on par with films like Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar,” Steven Spielberg’s “Saving Private Ryan” and Michael Mann’s “Heat” which all clocked in around the 169-170 minute mark with credits.

In the new entry, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table and must face off against new enemy The Marquis (Bill Skarsgard) who has powerful alliances across the globe that could turn some of Wick’s old friends into foes.

Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Clancy Brown, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Donnie Yen co-star in the film with Reeves previously saying the new entry has the most action of any of the ‘Wick’ films to date.

The news comes as a new bit of art was released today along with confirmation the film’s final trailer is arriving this coming Thursday. “John Wick: Chapter 4” opens March 24th.
