John Cena has closed a deal to star in “Coyote vs ACME,” the long-gestating live-action/CG animation hybrid feature from Warner Bros. Pictures.
The feature will tell the story of a down-on-his-luck human attorney who takes on classic Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote as a client.
Coyote has launched a lawsuit against ACME over its defective products. Soon the lawyer discovers that his boss (Cena) from his former law firm is representing Acme.
Dave Green (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”) is directing while Samy Burch penned the script based on Ian Frazier’s humorous New Yorker article from 1990.
Chris DeFaria and James Gunn are producing. Production is due to begin in late March in New Mexico.
