John Boyega has been pretty upfront and honest in his feelings about the “Star Wars” film trilogy he starred in.
After having a seemingly great time with J.J. Abrams’ ‘Force Awakens,’ Boyega has made it clear he had issues with its follow-up ‘The Last Jedi’ and he disagreed with many of the choices director Rian Johnson made with the film.
What he hasn’t spoken much about though is his reaction to the final film, last year’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which proved surprisingly as polarizing as its predecessor. Critics in particular loathed the film which snagged the worst reviews of the franchise.
Things changed this week when a fan on social media slammed the film as an embarrassment, and Boyega responded with his reaction saying: “Embarrassing? LOL you wish. Very fulfilling, some disappointments but yet not that big of a deal. Everyone has moved on.”
Indeed his co-stars like Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac have previously expressed similar feelings of disappointment over opportunities lost and a desire to move on to other things.
Boyega’s next film “Naked Singularity” is currently in post-production.
