Comedian Jim Gaffigan will take on the role of Thunderbolt in the second season of The CW’s DC series “Stargirl” reports EW.
Gaffigan will voice the CGI character, described as “a magical, electrical, fun-loving, wish-granting pink imp from the mysterious land of Bahdnesia.”
In the comics, Thunderbolt was trapped inside of a pen for a decade, which likely ties to the first season finale reveal in which Courtney steals a pink pen from the Justice Society of America’s headquarters.
Thunderbolt is described as extremely powerful and the wishes he grants cause more trouble than the wish-asker would ever expect – even though his heart is always in the right place.
Gaffigan will join previously announced new cast members Nick Tarabay as Eclipso and Jonathan Cake as The Shade.
