Jeremy Strong (“Succession,” “The Gentlemen,” “The Trial Of The Chicago 7”) is in negotiations to co-star in the Bradley Cooper-directed Netflix feature drama “Maestro” about composer Leonard Bernstein.
Cooper will star as Bernstein and produce from the script he co-wrote with “Spotlight” scribe Josh Singer. The drama spans over three decades and deals heavily with the marriage between him and his wife, Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan).
Strong will play biographer John Gruen, a critic for The New York Herald Tribune and New York magazine who wrote the authorized biography “The Private World of Leonard Bernstein”.
Cooper, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Todd Phillips, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Fred Berner and Amy Durning produce.
