“Yes Day” and “You” actress Jenna Ortega has scored the lead role of Wednesday Addams in the new live-action “The Addams Family” series reimagining “Wednesday” at Netflix.
Hailing from director Tim Burton and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville,” “Into the Badlands”), the series charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.
She attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous local town killing spree, and solve a supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Lisa Loring, Christina Ricci and Chloe Grace Moretz have all played the role in the past. MGM/UA Television is backing the project
