Jamie Foxx will star in the vampire thriller “Day Shift” currently in the works at Netflix.
Foxx plays hard-working, blue-collar dad who wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted 8-year-old daughter. His mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income: hunting and killing vampires.
Stunt coordinator J.J. Perry (“John Wick,” “The Fate of the Furious”) will make his directorial debut on the film using a Slamdance competition winning script by Tyler Tice. Shay Hatten has done subsequent revisions.
Chad Stahelski, Jason Spitz,, Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick will produce.
