“The Lost City of Z” director James Gray is set to write and direct the semi-autobiographical film “Armageddon Time” for RT Features.
The film recounts Gray’s upbringing in the New York borough of Queens in the mid-1980s, centering on a private school that counts Donald Trump and Hank Azaria among its alumnae.
RT Features is re-teaming with Gray on this, having produced his upcoming Brad Pitt-led sci-fi film “Ad Astra”. Gray penned the script for the film while Rodrigo Teixeira is producing.
Casting is underway ahead of a shoot early next year in New York. Gray also remains attached to direct “I Am Pilgrim” at Marv Films and MGM.
