In a rare stage appearance on Thursday at the Red Sea Film Festival, actor Jackie Chan revealed he is currently in talks to make a fourth “Rush Hour” movie.
Chan told the crowd: “we’re talking about part 4 right now,” and in fact, he was going to meet with the film’s director that evening to discuss the script.
Which director is not clear – disgraced filmmaker Brett Ratner directed all three previous entries and hasn’t helmed a film since 2014.
Chan and Chris Tucker starred in the three “Rush Hour” films, which were made between 1998 and 2007. They followed a Hong Kong detective inspector who forms an unlikely relationship with a loudmouthed LAPD officer to solve a series of international crimes.
