“Jack Ryan” Sets Final Season Launch

Amazon

Amazon has announced that the fourth and final season of its popular John Krasinski-led TV series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” will premiere starting June 30th.

The final run comes just six months after the third season hit the service in December – marking the shortest gap between seasons by a long margin. The first and second seasons saw a 14-month break between them, whilst the second and third were just over three years apart.

That’s not the only change. First up the fourth season will clock in at only six episodes as opposed to the regular eight-episode runs of the first three seasons.

In addition, whilst the first three seasons were released all at once, the new run will be released in two episode blocks with the first two on June 30th, the second two on July 7th, and the final two on July 14th.

In the new run, Ryan is now the new CIA Acting Deputy Director and is tasked with unearthing internal corruption. In doing so, he uncovers a series of suspicious black ops that could expose the vulnerability of the country just as a drug cartel and terrorist organization are joining forces.

The series also stars Wendell Pierce as James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, Betty Gabriel as CIA Acting Director Elizabeth Wright, Abbie Cornish as Cathy Mueller, Michael Pena as Domingo Chavez and Louis Ozawa as Chao Fah.
