With “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” having wrapped up the sequel trilogy of the nine-film Skywalker saga, it’s expected those adventures in a galaxy far, far away will shift to different time periods and all new characters in the future.
That would appear to suit the cast of the recent trilogy fine with all having expressed a desire to move on. Oscar Isaac once again re-iterated his wish to do the other day, the actor telling Deadline he doesn’t see himself returning to the role of Poe Dameron. Asked if he was done he replied with jestful: “Probably, but who knows. If I need another house or something.”
Mark Hamill seems to be done as well. It was recently revealed Hamill voiced the Mos Eisley droid EV-9D9 in the first season of “The Mandalorian” and subsequently the actor revealed on social media he is “vocally represented” in all of the “Star Wars” films except the prequels.
Business Insider indicates in “The Last Jedi” he put on a mo-cap suit to play the monocled Canto Bight alien Dobbu Scay who mistakes BB-8 for a slot machine. In ‘Rise of Skywalker’ he voiced green horned alien Boolio who gives the Resistance crucial information at the film’s start.
Hamill also has voice roles in ‘The Force Awakens,’ “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” but it’s not clear which parts he played.
