Elisabeth Moss’ “The Invisible Man” is headed for a $26 million opening weekend in North America, pulling in strong critical reviews and a decent B+ Cinemascore from audiences.
The Leigh Whannell-directed thriller is coming in above studio forecasts and will take the crown from “Sonic the Hedgehog” which will come in second with around $15 million. That film has a 17-day total of roughly $127 million.
Disney’s “Call of the Wild” is headed for third with $13 million in its second weekend. The anime movie “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” also launched at $4.7 million, while “Bad Boys for Life” is closing in on the $200 million domestic mark.
