Disney has announced that the release of the fifth “Indiana Jones” film has been pushed back by nearly a full year.
Originally slated for a July 29th, 2022 release, the movie will now open June 30th, 2023. The shift follows in the wake of multiple Marvel movie delays announced this morning.
The delay isn’t a surprise following the film’s star Harrison Ford being out of action for three months on the set due to a shoulder injury.
Production is currently ongoing on the film Italy. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson also star in the James Mangold-directed film.
