Paramount Home Media has officially announced an “Indiana Jones” 4K UHD box-set arriving in stores on June 8th.
Timed with the 40th anniversary of the original ‘Raiders’ which hit that second week of June in 1981, each of the films has been “meticulously remastered from 4K scans of the original negatives with extensive visual effects work done to ensure the most pristine and highest quality image.”
All picture work was reportedly approved by director Steven Spielberg and the disc set will offer the films in both Dolby Vision and HDR-10. All four films were also remixed at Skywalker Sound under the supervision of legendary sound designer Ben Burtt to create new Dolby Atmos soundtracks from all the original sound elements.
Each film is presented on 4K Blu-ray Disc with original theatrical trailers and access to digital copies. There’s also a Blu-ray disc in the set offering seven hours of previously released bonus content including two dozen or so making-of documentaries and featurettes.
