Filming has begun on “Immortal,” the third film from Finnish director Jalmari Helander following 2010’s “Rare Exports” and 2014’s “Big Game”.
The World War II action feature follows an ex-soldier (Jorma Tommila) in Lapland in 1945 who stumbles upon gold deep in the woods.
His attempt to take it are thwarted by Nazis, led by a ruthless officer (Thomas Anderson) and so begins a battle in the Finnish wilderness.
Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan and Onni Tommila co-star in the film while Petri Jokiranta and Subzero Film Entertainment produce.
