Idris Elba is set to star, while David Leitch is attached to direct a Netflix film adaptation of the Dark Horse comic title “Bang!”.
In the film, a terrorist cult sets out to start the apocalypse with a series of novels meant to brainwash their readers. Elba plays the world’s most celebrated spy who is sent to track down and kill the author responsible.
Matt Kindt and Wilfredo Torres penned the comic with Kindt and Zak Olkewicz serving as writers on the film. Leitch, Kelly McCormick, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg will produce
Film and series adaptations of Dark Horse titles like “Mind MGMT,” “Revenge Inc.” and “Lady Killer” are also in development at Netflix.
