“The Hunger Games” actor Josh Hutcherson is set to play the lead in Hulu’s upcoming half-hour comedy pilot “Future Man” which is being executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir penned the high-concept comedy which centers on Josh Futterman (Hutcherson) a janitor by day and world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humans after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.
Hutcherson is also producing the project which Rogen and Goldberg will direct the pilot for. Sony Pictures TV is the studio backing the project.
