“American Hustle” and “Top Gun: Maverick” scribe Eric Warren Singer has been set to pen a third film in the “Now You See Me” franchise at Lionsgate.
The first two, about a group of illusionists called The Four Horsemen who pull off heists, took in $687 million worldwide combined and starred the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Lizzy Caplan, Michael Caine, Daniel Radcliffe and Jay Chou all starred in at least one of the films.
No casting has been set yet for the third installment, but Singer’s take is said to introduce new characters into the world whilst also creating opportunities for original cast members to reprise their roles.
Bobby Cohen and Alex Kurtzman will produce while Jonathan Bayme and his company Theory 11 will serve as a magic consultant to the filmmakers.
