Hulu has premiered the full trailer for “Candy,” its upcoming ‘five-night event’ series which kicks off May 9th.
Jessica Biel stars as Candy Montgomery, a Texas woman in 1980 with a seemingly perfect home life in Dallas – good husband, two kids, nice house. One day however she killed her friend from church Betty Gore (Melanie Lynskey) with an axe.
Timothy Simons, Pablo Schreiber, and Raul Esparza co-star. Three-time Emmy nominee Robin Veith (“Mad Men,” “The Act”) wrote the pilot script and executive produces alongside Biel, Nick Antosca, Michelle Purple, Michael Uppendahl and Alex Hedlund.
The project isn’t to be confused with HBO Max’s “Love and Death” about the same case which stars Elizabeth Olsen.
