Hulu has scored the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to Bong Joon Ho’s Best Picture winner “Parasite”.
Under a deal with distributor Neon, “Parasite” will be available on Hulu beginning Wednesday, April 8th.
The film explores socioeconomic inequality in South Korea, following an impoverished, literally basement-dwelling family posing as qualified professionals to gain long-term employment by a wealthy family.
Neon doubled the North American theatrical footprint in recent weekends, with both movie tickets and digital sales spiking. As of Monday, the film has garnered $48.9 million at the domestic box office and $155.6 million worldwide.
