It has been a busy day or so for Hulu on the TV promo trailer font.
First, the streamer has premiered the first trailer for the limited series “The Dropout” starring Amanda Seyfried as the infamous Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes.
Holmes dropped out of Stanford University to found Theranos, a Silicon Valley blood-testing startup that was once hailed as revolutionary until it turned out to be a massive fraud.
Naveen Andrews, William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Marvel and Stephen Fry co-star in the series premiering March 3rd.
Following their success with their adaptation of Sally Rooney’s “Normal People,” Hulu and the BBC have released a trailer for a series adaptation of Rooney’s “Conversations with Friends”.
The series follows the story of a young college student who has to navigate the world of relationships and confront her own struggles and vulnerabilities. Alison Oliver, Joe Alwyn, Sasha Lane, and Jemima Kirke co-star with all twelve episodes hitting in May.
Next comes the trailer for the limited series “The Girl from Plainville” which follows a ‘texting-suicide’ case in which Michelle Carter was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death of then-boyfriend Conrad Roy III.
Accusations were that Carter provoked Roy’s suicide through text and calls. Elle Fanning, Colton Ryan, Chloe Sevigny, Norbert Leo Butz, Kai Lennox and Cara Buono star in the series which debuts March 29th.
Finally, the service has released a trailer for “Life and Beth” in which a trip down memory lane is a strong source of trauma, comedy and moving forward. Amy Schumer and Michael Cera star in the series with all episodes set to be released on March 18th.
