“House of the Dragon” Finale Leaks Online

HBO

A distribution partner based in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, or Africa) is reportedly responsible for the first season finale of HBO’s “House of the Dragon” leaking online.

The final episode of the run was released illegally on Friday ahead of its premiere on Sunday. In a statement issued by HBO, the network says it is “aggressively monitoring” the situation and has been removing copies popping up on torrent websites.

Their statement says: “We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K.”

This is not unusual for the franchise as its predecessor “Game of Thrones” was subject to similar leaks in its latter seasons.
