Nicholas Hoult (“The Great”), Ving Rhames (“Mission: Impossible”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”) and Cecily Strong (“Schmigadoon”) are all set to join Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson in the voice cast of the upcoming “Garfield” fully-animated feature at Sony Pictures and Alcon Entertainment.
Pratt voices Garfield whilst Jackson plays a brand-new character named Vic, Garfield’s father. Specifics of who the just-announced cast will play haven’t been revealed, though notable “Garfield” supporting characters include Garfield’s owner Jon, best friend Odie, and veterinarian Liz.
“The Emperor’s New Groove” director Mark Dindal and writer David Reynolds re-team in the same capacities here, while original creator Jim Davis will serve as an executive producer. “Garfield” is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 16th 2024.
