Showtime has renewed both its Sunday night dramas “Homeland” and “The Affair” for another season each. This will give them a respective fifth and second season in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Both shows will score the same episode count as their current seasons – “Homeland” gets twelve and “The Affair” nabs ten.
Despite critical praise for the series having dropped off the map, “Homeland” remains a solid performer for the network and has been averaging six million viewers each week with numbers rising in recent episodes.
“The Affair” scored a strong critical reception with its launch and has been averaging nearly four million gross weekly viewers across platforms.
